DA Coach leaves us before the Bears became the the move to Indiana
Another one passes on. This is normal in life as we all do pass on.
Mike Ditka , “Da Coach”, passed on at the age of 86. He was mostly successful but was also a character. He was the coach of the Bears when they won their only Super Bowl in 1985.
But he was known by me most for his clipboard throwing. It would lead to one of my questions in my computer desktop support career. If someone would have a clipboard, I would ask, “is that a Mike Ditka model clipboard?”
A most versatile individual between playing, coaching, then later acting and selling products Ditka proved that you can be more than singular.
And of course, Dikta leaves before DA Bears move to Indiana!
RIP Mike Ditka!!
