The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is at work looking at
the way the United States spends money. They are doing this by
looking at the payment systems. One organization is United States
Agency for International Development (USAID). In 1961 Congress
passed the Foreign Assistance Act which required an organization in
the federal government to distribute funds. Then President John F.
Kennedy created with an executive order USAID. This is not an aid
organization but a group that distributes funds for foreign needs in
alignment with United States Foreign policy.
This is a group
which has lived with no transparency. Along comes DOGE to look at the
expenditures. What they are finding is a money laundering operation.
They are finding expenditures that majority of Americans would not
spend money. DOGE is identifying an agency that was created during
the cold war that was to guide foreign assistance to non-communist
countries.
USAID however has
given money to Cuba which is communist. Venezuela current government
is communist. Money has been given by USAID to Venezuela.
The moneys have
generally not been monitored and added to each year.
This is a start.
Remember the movie Dave? Check the scene when they go over the
United States budget and what is being spent.
Spending in the
United states government has been out of control for years. Money is
being spent on things a government should not be funding. Money
being spent is not money we have?
USAID is the first.
Don’t think this will stop. There are many more agencies that need
review! It needs to continue to bring common sense back to the
spending of the United States Federal Government!
Keep in mind, what
gets created by executive order gets overturned by executive order!
