136 NATO and the UN
What is the purpose of NATO? What is the purpose of the United
Nation (UN)?
From the Charter of
the United Nations
The Purposes of the United Nations are:
- To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
- To develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self-determination of peoples, and to take other appropriate measures to strengthen universal peace;
- To achieve international co-operation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character, and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without distinction as to race, sex, language, or religion; and
- To be a center for harmonizing the actions of nations in the attainment of these common ends.
Looking at the purpose as put forth in the charter I would say that
the United Nations is a complete waste of Money. During the term of
the corpse, we have wars in Ukraine with Russia, Israel and
Palestine, North Korea throwing bombs at whoever, Red China knocking
on the doors of Taiwan, Iran funding terror all over the mid east,
and an invasion on the United States Southern border.
Prior to the Corpse administration there was the Trump
administration. Surprisingly quiet. One bad guy taken out after a
minor skirmish and the beginning of the organized Afghanistan
withdrawal.
Prior to the Trump administration there was the Hussein Obama
administration with Hilary Clinton as the Secretary of State, were
famous for taking out the leader of Libya, famous for incessant drone
strikes (cite all of the wars he did.)
Before that the George W. Bush wars of Iraq (after the 911 he invades
Iraq after it was noted that the attackers were from Saudi Arabia.
Bill Clinton and a problem or two.
George H. W. Bush Has Iraq trying to take over Kuwait.
Reagan, Iraq and Iran.
I am simplifying this a bit, NATO was created when there was the
Soviet Union. It was the the countries that were opposite of the
Warsaw Pact. When the Soviet Union fell the Warsaw Pact was
dissolved. NATO was supposed to also be dissolved, but the agreement
was made that NATO would not have members in reach of Russia. Twice
Russia under the direction of Vladmar Putin asked to join NATO.
Putin noted the commonalities of the European countries. Twice
Russia was denied.
During the Obama administration there was a territorial dispute
between Russia and Ukraine. Russia was able to win minimal
resistance. Why?
This time there is more resistance. Why? Was it the lack of wars
and the Military Industrial Complex was not making tons of money? JP
Morgan and Blackrock aligning to make money rebuilding?
Does any of this make logical sense? Do people in the world want
continuous wars? World peace?
These questions need to be answered!
