199 Happy Birthday USA 250

Descriptions > Other backgrounds
Celebrating two hundred fifty years.  The United States is a fairly young country compared to many others.  The history of origins is interesting.

The land mass of the United States was not supposed to be there.   Royalty in Europe was looking for a faster way to travel to get to the Cheap Chinese goods back in the day. (Some things never change.) Columbus ran into the West Indies.  The Vikings came and went.  Other explorers ran into different parts of the American continents.  They tried to find ways through and around the continent.

There had been some population in the American continents.  Speculation is they came over the Bearing Straight before it separated. Much of the population had been more in Mexico and Northern South America.

People who migrated came from countries that were run top down by royalty. This caused an interesting misbehavior.  People found that without a royalty they had to figure out how to get along and self police.  The majority of people that initially landed were Christians and found direction in the Old Testament for self rule.  It was the premise of the ten commandments and leaving their leadership to the deity of God.

It is through this that lead representation is assigned on a temporary basis and to be rotated.  It is also this temporary leadership situation that led the leaders to realize they have to live under the laws and rules they had created and enforced.

Slavery is an interesting situation.  Slavery was not originally brought to the country.  There were people who wanted to come to the country but did not have the funds to come.  They were able to make arrangements to come and work off their expenses.  It was called indentured servitude.  It was designed to help both parties involved.  The servant worked off their expenses and the served got help. At the end of the agreed upon time the servant was free.  Both white and black came as indentured servants.

Then came the idea of slavery.  Slavery is talked about in the bible.  It is talked about somewhat positively and slaves are not to be abused.  But the bible also talks about sin and the concept of evil. And there were those who because of sin and evil took advantage of the slave system. Before the country’s incorporation and after the country tried many times to eliminate slavery.  Eventually the country fought a bloody war to cause its elimination.

The United States became this collection of people who came over from top down managed countries (including the slaves who were traded by their country’s royalty).  The people who came here had to self govern.  They were distanced from their previous royalty due to an ocean.  Many were abused in one way or another by said royalty.  They valued their ability to fail or succeed on their own more than they valued someone take care of them.   They also realized the concept of family unit structure.

They had seen examples of self government in the bible, the Israelites before King Saul and the beginning of Christianity where a structure of delegation with Peter’s assignment by Christ for Peter to lead the church but as a lay leader who would be apart of the team as one earthly person could not be in all the places Christianity would spread.  Twelve was the biblical number for the starting point. Twelve houses of Israel and twelve disciples.  The bible said Christ was their King and they felt it was not needed to have an earthy king, just enough representation to keep their space protected from an evil empire.

The colonists realized early on that they needed to have a well defined representative form of government.  The early “all out” democracies were shown to fall down after the population got too big for the populace to vote on everything.  The colonists realized as they went from the small communities to the larger cities and towns they decided to create group of representation.  Through the evolution of colonies there were colonial governments becoming the state governments.  The federal government was designed based upon the collective of the thirteen state governments. These governments were not democracies but are representative republics.

The premise of government in the United States is that the government is not greater than the individual and the individual was never supposed to be a life long employee of the government.  In other words, people took their turn to govern then would step down and go about their lives as before. They were to live their lives under the laws and rules they created. Rules were not to become burdensome and special interest to a few.

The United States created itself with the ability to govern from the bottom up.  This requires a discipline and responsibility.  It also requires skin in the game.  The founders allowed only male property owners to have direct representation.  The representation was expanded to include non property owners and eventually women then all free United States citizens.  There are those that are excluded, certain felons and visitors to the country.

Unfortunately the country has morphed into a new type of top down government.  There are elected officials who refuse to go back home.  It is both political parties.  This is not to say that people cannot run and get elected to other positions, but to keep staying and being reelected as a career member of a particular chamber is not by design and introduces corruption.  This corruption has been so large that taxpayer money is being so wasted.  But the career types say you are evil if you decide to cut the fraud and waste.

The country created rules for legal immigration. The country also created a rule to make sure that former slaves were citizens once slavery was eliminated nationally.  But again that law has been abused.  Illegal immigrants would come in pregnant on the verge of delivery for the express purpose of having the child be a legal citizen then giving the parents a way to stay tying up immigration courts. Most recently the Supreme Court allowed this practice to continue.  Now the current administration is looking to implement a pregnancy test for women who are not citizens and deny access if risk of delivery is imminent.

A responsibility of self representation is not creating an environment of fraud and abuse. Representational being made up of a non-temporary citizen elected government official changes the intent of the founders.  The intent of the founders is important as other countries that are top down have not had the true opportunity to define what government and representation should be. The bottom up approach to government created more prosperity for the individual than any other structure in history.

We are celebrating the two hundred fiftieth year of the United States. There needs to be a return to how the country started.  The government at the federal level must be returned to the part time position as designed with a full time but temporary designated speaker.

We need to clear out the loads of experts and return them to the private sector to allow them create new products and opportunities.  Rules must be made by the temporary part time representatives and enforced by the executive branch.  If there is a dispute the supreme court must be able to quickly hear the dispute.

The current court system needs to be evaluated and corruption eliminated.  There are too many strange rules created by the court which gets in the way of finding truth and judgment and is in place for a subset of the population have a winning percentage and make money through system abuse.

The country can go another two hundred fifty years. Will the country be redirected to its bottom up management?  Is it the will of the current population? It will take less than two hundred fifty years to find out.  I have the will, do you?
