Jeans.  The pants that won the west.  Jeans.  The pants that had stores named after them.

So how can jeans be controversial?  Advertising.  Nothing wrong with the product.  What could go wrong.

Pick on the model who is by standards very attractive and you will get reaction.  People will condemn the ad saying that the model represents a body type that is not real.  

But this time the race card also got played.  Can we as a society please stop this?  I see so many people of color in ads these days far more than when I was a youngster, mixed relationships.

There will be more products and more ads.  Those who make the ads have their reasons for procedure.  

You are a consumer, buy what you want.  But enough of this race baiting by the you know who you are!

 In these polarizing times, American Eagle should just put a picture of jeans on the ad and call it a day!
