The State of Illinois has been famous for its shell game. Back in the day they sold the state residents that "The Lottery" as the way to raise money for education. Of course, the effectively quit funding education increase in the original manor, Now they say they are going to raise the cigarette tax to help pay for Medicaid, increase gambling venues to raise more money for the general fund, and start a new tax to be charged patrons of gentleman's clubs (no mention of strip venues where the guys bear all for the women) to pay for sexual assault prevention programs. If they do with this tax what they did with the lottery, other funds will get the money! On the other hand, should we not be good citizens and do our part?
