154 Big Beautiful Bill

H.R.1, the big Beautiful Bill as it is called by President Trump is the current spending bill which will set the beginning point for the future spending and revenues of the United States. It is a base point.

From a taxation standpoint it frees a great deal tips, overtime, and Social Security pay from income taxes. It codifies the 2017 income tax cuts for the future and prevents a big income tax increase for the middle class.

From a spending standpoint it defines only spending on citizens and legal visitors to the United States. It dumps a good bunch of the environmental wacko spending the the corpse administration stuck in. The bill also properly defines who can collect what and how it is to be enforced.

There is also additional bloat and spending that needs to be cleaned up. There are items that could not be in this bill due to method of passage and the type of existing spending.

What this means now is Congress must get back to work and clean up the waste and corruption. Bills to act on items that were found by DOGE. Waste and spending as found by Senate DOGE committee member Joni Ernst.

Congress and the White House must the will to do this job. Washington DC must be right sized and decisions be returned to the elected officials whether they like it or not.

In fact, instead of trying to make Washington DC a state and give it two senators and however many representatives, return the population neighborhoods back to the the respective states that donated them. This might give those states a bump in representation, but makes more sense that a city that has government for its business does not make it fit for being a state. States to be successful must have a degree of diversity or there will be an inconsistent ability to fund the city in a natural granular method.

This is a beginning! There is so much more work that needs to be done!
