The process has not been discussed much. President Trump has been doing what he has said. He has made executive orders to reverse executive orders by the corpse and activated the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to go after waste and corruption in the federal government. But the question is what comes next?
Senator Joni Ernst is on the Senate DOGE committee. In radio interviews she said that DOGE has gotten information that the House and Senate has been trying to get for years.
So now the Congressional action is starting.
Tennessee's second congressional district representative Tim Burchett has released the following press release:

Press Release
Rep. Burchett to Introduce Legislation to Codify President Trump's Executive Orders
Washington, D.C. (May 16th, 2025) -- Today, U.S. Congressman Tim Burchett announced that he will be introducing legislation to codify President Trump’s Executive Orders. Since his inauguration, President Trump has slashed regulatory red tape, prioritized fiscal conservatism, and effectively closed the Southern Border.
“President Trump has done his part in acting on the mandate from the American people. It’s past time for Congress to take action,” said Representative Burchett.
“I am taking charge to ensure Congress carries out President Trump’s agenda. That's why I’ll be introducing a series of single-issue bills to support the President and Congressional Republicans’ promise to the American people.”
The first series of bills will enforce DOGE cuts, slash harmful red tape, eliminate foreign influence in our schools, and unleash American energy.
Let's now see the work and results happen. Mike Johnson, that means you. Make sure this moves through! John Thune, this means you too! This is the Republican opportunity to fix the mess in two years what was created in over sixty years!
