I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I am now Illinois resident in exile.  

Over the years we have seen corruption in Chicago.  We have seen the first Mayor Daley deliver the JFK victory which under suspicious circumstances.  The same Mayor Daley with some very interesting handling with the Chicago Democratic convention in 1968.  Other mayors had some interesting handlings.  City finances are continually bloating and I had been told once that Mayor Bilandic did not know how to move the funds around and shortfalls occurred.  Of course, not plowing the snow on the streets during a storm did not help either.

Chicago has always had a gun crimes problem.  This is in spite of tough gun laws.  Gangs also have their turfs and there are neighborhoods that are just not safe.

Chicago drags Illinois down.  Chicago constantly looks to the state for bailouts.  And why shouldn’t they.  There is a tremendous control of the Illinois state government.

Fast forward to today.  Chicago and Illinois have been harboring illegal aliens.  This is in and of itself illegal. Immigration is a federal situation so ICE is coming in to correct and enforce the law. The mayor of Chicago and the governor of Illinois have offered no help and are running a hostile environment for ICE.  The city of Chicago also has a crime problem that many in the country including the current presidential administration.  Combining both problems the president has decided to call in various state’s national guard to assist the understaffed Chicago Police department.

Brandon Johnson has such a low rating, 6% at this point, because of his handling of all things Chicago and law enforcement.  He is acting very childish at best.

Governor JB Pritzker thinks he can become president.  He can’t stand that the current president wants to help clean up dangerous cities and protect his ICE agents.  Can we admit that his goals are so clouding his ability to do the job he was supposed to do?

Add to this that both of these clowns have made Illinois a very expensive place and many are leaving.  Which is bad because many people would like to stay in Illinois due to property interests, family, and history.  But hey have not done it alone.  They have enablers in the Chicago City Council, the Illinois State House and Senate of which with minor exception are from the same corrupt party as the majority of the past mayors and governors.

For now, Johnson and Pritzker don’t know how to handle life as they lost their pants due to bad decisions in the current situations!
