The League of Nations was a failure. From Wikipedia, “The United
Nations (UN)
is the global intergovernmental
organization established
by the signing of the UN
Charter on
26 June 1945 with the stated purpose of maintaining international
peace and security,
to develop friendly relations among states,
to promote international cooperation, and to serve as a centre
for harmonizing the actions of states in achieving those goals.”
So,
how has that peace stuff been lately? It has been admitted by many
that Iran has been the lead in dispensing terrorism. The Muslim
influence leadership of Iran specifically say that Israel must die
and the Unite States must die. Iran has been told they are not to
possess the capabilities to make nuclear bombs.
But
intelligence reports are stating that they are having nuclear
capabilities. Reports stated they had enrichment facilities making
the Uranium greater than what is necessary for making electricity.
With perceived rational fear Israel attacked Iran and took out
military stock piles and military leaders. The United States agreed
to drop bombs on three nuclear activity areas. No civilian deaths
reported. No Military deaths reported. Just the destruction of the
facilities.
President
Trump then orders a cease fire, giving crap to both Iran and Israel
for continuing after he said stop and telling Israel to turn the
plains around.
Reports
from inside Iran state that the people are not thrilled with their
country’s leadership. However, they seem to have no way to remove
them. This has gone on all the way back to when Jimmy Carter helped
screw up that region.
That
aside, just what does the United Nations do? Keeping Iran in line
should be one of their purposes. With all of the wars that have
happened in recent years, the purpose of the United Nations is far
from fulfilled. It seems that all the United Nations is good for is
to be a vacation destination for various foreigner.
If
the United Nations is to prove itself useful, it is time to get off
your collective dead as and make peace. In the meantime, President
Trump seems to have a handle on the situation.
